Organizers of Meridian's Holiday Parade say the theme "My Favorite Christmas Story" should give participants a broad range of creative ideas as they plan to decorate their floats.
The parade is sponsored by the Meridian Downtown Association and the city of Meridian. Organizers say it takes a community effort to organize such a large event.
As in the past several years, the parade will be broadcast by Meridian Community College in conjunction with Comcast Channel 12.
Application deadline for the parade was Friday, but Pearson said she may accept late entries. For more information, call 482-6699. The entry fee is $25.
