Due to the success of the recent Peavey-sponsored Sevendust Listening Party, Peavey will again premiere new music by an artist endorser on its Web site.
Peavey.com will preview "Elocation," the second album from multi-platinum rock band Default, beginning Saturday three full days before its release date and running through December.
Peavey previously paired with TVT Records and endorsers Sevendust to preview that band's latest album, "Seasons," before its release in October. An onslaught of fans visited Peavey.com to stream Sevendust's new songs and enter to win a Millennium bass guitar autographed by the band.
Fans who visit Peavey.com for the Default Listening Party can enter to win a Raptor Plus EXP guitar autographed by Default.
For "Elocation," Default worked producer Rick Parashar, who produced several songs on the band's breakthrough debut, "The Fallout."
Parashar also produced landmark albums by Pearl Jam, Blind Melon and fellow Peavey endorsers Nickelback and 3 Doors Down. Both Benedict and vocalist/rhythm guitarist Dallas Smith began using Peavey gear on "Elocation" and are fully outfitted for Default's fall tour.
Benedict uses an assortment of Peavey gear, from Pro Series bass heads and cabinets to GPS power amps and a KOSMOS low frequency and stereo image enhancer.
Although Smith has played guitar for "six or seven years," he never plugged in live until Default began its current headlining tour. Smith is playing an EVH Wolfgang guitar through Triple XXX amplifiers on songs from both albums.
Visit Peavey.com during November to read Default's entire Peavey Artist of the Month interview. "Elocation" will be available nationwide Nov. 25 from TVT Records.
