Truck driver found dead

A Canadian man was found dead Tuesday in the cab of his truck at the Travelcenters of America truck stop on Russell Mt. Gilead Road.
Lauderdale County Deputy Coroner Clayton Cobler said the body of truck driver Alec Michael Cooke, 62, of Kitchener, Ontario, was found at 11:50 a.m. in the cab of the truck he was driving for a Canadian trucking company.
Cobler said Cooke apparently died of natural causes, but an autopsy will be performed. Cobler said Cooke was last heard from on Saturday when he checked in with his trucking company.
