Lauderdale County deputies are looking for two suspects who tried to rob an automatic teller machine.
Early Tuesday, an employee of Commercial Bank, 7591 Highway 39 North, near Old Country Club Drive, noticed someone had unsuccessfully tried to gain entry into the bank's ATM machine and called the sheriff's department.
Maj. Ward Calhoun of the Lauderdale County Sheriff's Department said two suspects, described as black men, were captured on video surveillance cameras trying to get into the ATM with a cutting torch.
Calhoun said the suspects tried to rob the machine shortly after midnight Tuesday.
The sheriff's department is asking anyone with information about the attempted robbery to call its Crimestoppers hotline at 917-8888.
