Simon, Hart

John and Florence Simon of Natchitoches, La., announce the engagement of their daughter, Dr. Urelain Simon, to George L. Hart, son of Billy and Pearl Hunter and George King, all of Meridian.
The wedding will be Saturday, Jan. 24, 2004, at 5:25 p.m. at First United Methodist Church of Natchitoches.
Dr. Simon is the granddaughter of the late Oscar and Elaine Wright of Natchitoches, the late Bennett and Joan Simon of Jennings, La., and Rose Simon of Beaumont, Texas.
The bride-elect received her degree in chemistry from Grambling State University and her doctorate of medicine from Meharry Medical College.
While attending Grambling State, she was a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Earl Lester Cole Honors College and GSU Marching Band.
Dr. Simon is employed with Greater Meridian Health Clinic.
Mr. Hart is the grandson of Lottie Anderson of Laurel, Scottie Thigpen of Rose Hill and the late Sarah and George King of Meridian.
The bridegroom-elect is a graduate of Meridian High School and received a degree in computer science from Mississippi Valley State University, where he was a member of the Delta Devils football team.
Mr. Hart is employed by Lowe's.
A reception will be held on the historic Cane River in Natchitoches.
