Boil water' notice lifted
By Staff
Local officials have lifted a "boil water" notice for customers who get their drinking water from the North Lauderdale Water Association located in Lauderdale County.
Water from the system no longer needs to be boiled before consumption, said spokesman Lynn Pratt.
Users were first advised to boil their drinking water on Oct. 6, when the system lost pressure. Tests performed by the Mississippi State Department of Health Laboratory indicate the water now meets the standards of the Safe Drinking Water Law.
