Georgia woman dies in one-vehicle accident

A Georgia woman died from internal injuries she sustained after a one-vehicle accident Tuesday, according to Lauderdale County Deputy Coroner Clayton Cobler.
Bobbie McSwain, 65, of Decatur, Ga., died at 4:13 p.m. at Rush Foundation Hospital. She was a passenger in a 1996 Ford pickup truck that left Interstate 59 while traveling north at the 147 mile marker, three miles south of Meridian.
Sgt. Ronnie Carter of the Mississippi Highway Patrol said the accident happened at 1:43 p.m. Eight other people, including the driver of the truck, Bruce E. McSwain, 44, of Decatur, Ga., were transported to local hospitals.
The other seven passengers ranged in ages from 3 months to 21 years.
