The 186th Air Refueling Wing held a change of command ceremony Saturday for the position of wing command chief master sergeant referred to as the "CCM."
New Command Chief Master Sgt. Gerald Goodin replaced outgoing Command Chief Master Sgt. Ronald Holloway. The ceremony took place in the base maintenance hangar with several hundred unit and family members present.
Holloway says he has enjoyed "every minute" of his time with the 186th ARW and leaves with mixed emotions.
After 38 years in the 186th, Holloway looks forward to retirement and spending time with his three children and four grandchildren.
Goodin, the incoming command chief master sergeant, has served in the National Guard for 37 years 32 of which were with the 186th ARW.
He says he is looking forward to the challenge, and his first priority is to "build rapport with unit members and promote the 186th in the community."
The 186 Air Refueling Wing's CCM is the senior enlisted grade in the wing. The responsibilities include establishing a close rapport with commanders, first sergeants and unit members as well as civilian employers and community leaders. The length of appointment to CCM is normally four years.
