HA, WA put perfect division records on line

Another chapter in the history between Heidelberg Academy and Wayne Academy will be written tonight. Each squad has a flawless record in Academy 3-A and the game could decide the league winner.
Heidelberg Academy head coach Tom Lewis knows that the task will not be easy for his 4-2 Rebels.
Wayne Academy enters the crucial division game with a 3-3 mark and all three wins have come within the division.
Heidelberg Academy is on a current four-game winning streak, while Wayne Academy has won two straight wins.
The Jaguar defense put on a show last week by holding Winston Academy to no touchdowns in an 18-2 win last week.
Wayne Academy was led on offense by Patton Stanley with 57 yards rushing. Quarterback Garret James was 7-of-15 passing for 93 yards.
The Rebels took a 50-0 win over Kemper Academy last week and was mainly led by senior quarterback Brooks Lewis. Lewis had three touchdown passes, while the Rebel defense had nine points. Ryan Aultman had a fumble recovery for a touchdown and Mason Key had a sack in the end zone for a safety.
Heidelberg took a 20-7 win during the regular season last year and also won a 6-0 thriller in the playoffs. Heidelberg Academy has won seven of the last 10 games against Wayne Academy. The last win for Wayne Academy over the Rebels came in 1998.
Enterprise
at Bay Springs
The battle of the Bulldogs will also take place this Friday with a big opening Division 5-2A game between Enterprise and Bay Springs. Bay Springs has enjoyed much success over Enterprise the past few seasons.
Enterprise head coach Joel Speed knows how big the division opener is going to be for his young group of Bulldogs.
Bay Springs head coach Cecil Hicks is looking for his squad to respond well after an off week.
Enterprise took a 29-8 homecoming win last week over Lake and welcomed back a familiar face. Adam Simpson returned to the Bulldogs' backfield last week and didn't disappoint the Enterprise faithful with 183 yards on 25 carries.
Bay Springs enters the game with a 3-1 mark. Enterprise is 3-2.
Seminary
at Heidelberg
Heidelberg will be facing its toughest test of the season as the undefeated Seminary Bulldogs pay a visit to take on the Oilers. Seminary is entering the game ranked second according to the Associated Press Little 10 poll this week.
Heidelberg took a 32-14 win last week on the road at Clarkdale and will be looking to notch its fifth win of the season. The Oilers got a fabulous game from senior quarterback Neil Russel in the win last week.
Russel had 186 yards rushing and went 7-for-12 passing for 96 yards and a pair of touchdowns. Seminary propelled in the poll this week with a 28-0 shutout win over Lumberton.
Sylva-Bay Academy
at Central Academy
The Saints will be looking to stay in the Academy 3-A race as Sylva-Bay goes to Macon. The Saints took a 28-0 homecoming victory last week over Prentiss Christian.
Sylva-Bay is 2-1 in division play and 5-1 overall. Dusty McCormick led the way for the Saints with two special teams touchdowns last week. McCormick had a 75-yard kickoff return to open the game and later had a 43-yard punt return for a score.
Cody Phillips also notched a rushing touchdown in the home win for the Saints.
Salmen
at Wayne County
The War Eagles will be looking to remain perfect this week as Salmen will be looking to end the Wayne County winning streak.
Wayne County took a 35-0 win last week over division rival Quitman. The War Eagle defense has recorded four shutouts so far this season.
Michael McLaughlin led the offense last week with 180 yards rushing and two touchdowns on only 16 carries. Quarterback J.J. Taylor also continued to perform well on offense for Wayne County with a rushing touchdown.
Salmen, a three-time state champion in Louisiana, fell to 3-1 with a 19-18 loss to St. Augustine last week.
