MMA extends
dates for Murder Mystery
Officials with Meridian Museum of Art have experienced such a demand for their upcoming fund-raiser, the Museum Murder Mystery "Without a Hitch," that they have extended the plays dates.
In addition to the Aug. 7 and 12 dates, the play will also be presented Aug. 13 at 7 p.m. at Weidmann's Restaurant.
Tickets are $75 a person and include dinner served during the production a gourmet meal from Weidmann's featuring mesclun greens salad (with ardmore goat cheese and lemon garlic vinaigrette), roasted chicken, rosemary and garlic mashed potatoes, greens beans &porcini jus, and vanilla bean crme brule.
The meal will be accompanied by Weidmann's fine wines.
The play is an interactive mystery. The action takes place in and around and at times will include the audience. At the end of the evening, guests will have a chance to solve the crime themselves.

Meridian Children's
Chorus holding auditions
The Meridian Children's Chorus is holding auditions for the 2003-2004 season for children in grades 2-12.
No prior experience is required. All necessary music and materials will be provided at the audition.
Founded in 1995 by Vivian Hurley, the Meridian Children's Chorus has received local and national recognition for its music, repertoire and professional approach.
The chorus performs a minimum of two full concerts per season and appears regularly as a guest for many Meridian and Mississippi events.
The 2003-2004 local performance season of the Meridian Children's Chorus includes a Christmas concert, a spring concert, an appearance with the Meridian Symphony Orchestra and a performance in the St. Paul's Chamber Concert Series.
The chorus is considering travel invitations for its 2004-2005 season.

The Meridian Children's Chorus is a nonprofit, tax deductible organization. A grant from the Meridian Council for the Arts provides partial funding for its concerts.
