Gaines, Burch

Mr. and Mrs. Jimmy Gaines of Decatur announce the engagement of their daughter, Jennifer Melissa, to Jeffrey William Burch, son of Mr. and Mrs. Jim Burch of Porterville.
The wedding will be Saturday, Aug. 9, 2003, at 1:30 p.m. at Hazel Baptist Church in Lake.
Miss Gaines is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jack Crosby of Lake, Ann Gaines of Newton and the late Roger Cecil Gaines of Decatur.
The bride-elect is a graduate of Newton County High School attended East Central Community College. She will receive a bachelor's degree in human development and family studies, with an emphasis in child development, from Mississippi State University in December.
Mr. Burch is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Ballard of Jacksonville, Fla., and the late Mr. and Mrs. Billy Burch of Salem, Ark.
The bridegroom-elect is a graduate of Kemper County High School and attended East Mississippi Community College. He will receive a bachelor's degree in sociology from Mississippi State University in December.
Mr. Burch will also be commissioned in December as a second lieutenant in the U.S. Air Force. He will be an aircraft maintenance officer.
A reception will be held in the church fellowship hall following the ceremony.
Family and friends are invited to attend.
