Thirty-nine miniature carousel horses whose full-size versions were produced for a public arts program in Meridian are available for purchase at McRae's.
The program, Around Town Carousels Abound, was created as a fund-raiser for Hope Village for Children. Part of the proceeds from sales of the miniatures at McRae's will go to the home for abused and neglected children founded by Lauderdale County-born actress Sela Ward and others.
Through the sale of Around Town Carousels Abound merchandise, McRae's has presented checks totaling more than $24,000.
Each of the horses is available in a miniature version, in a lapel pin and with a musical rocking base. Other available items include Around Town Carousels Abound books, t-shirts and notecards.
