Coming home

The Meridian Community College Eagles baseball team is home now, having lost twice in the double-elimination Junior College World Series at Grand Junction, Colo. While things didn't go as hoped on the playing field out West, the team represented MCC in a commendable fashion, visiting health care facilities and spreading some of that good old Southern hospitality among young and old alike.
We're proud of our team and congratulate head coach Mike Frederico, his players and coaches on a terrific season. They should hold their heads high and know that back here at home they're still No. 1.
