Water Everywhere

Water gushes from a hydrant on Poplar Springs Drive, just north of 32nd Street, after it was struck by a car Tuesday afternoon about 1:45 p.m.
Sgt. David Latting of the Meridian Police Department said the driver of the car reported that the power steering malfunctioned and he lost control of the vehicle. Police did not identify the driver, but said no one was injured.
