Services for Franklin D. Parnell will be held Thursday at 11:30 a.m. at James F. Webb Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Danny Balint officiating. Burial will be in Meridian Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mr. Parnell, 70, of Meridian, died Tuesday, May 27, 2003.
Survivors include his sons, David Parnell and his wife, Naomi, Danny Parnell and his wife, Brenda, and Richard Parnell; a daughter, Denise P. Knost and her husband, Michael; grandchildren, Ashley and Melodye Parnell and Joshua and Jacob Knost; a special friend, Jonnie Wilson Parnell; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Sarah Parnell and James F. Parnell; a brother, James Parnell; a sister, Alice Edwards; and an infant brother.
Visitation will be today 5 p.m.-8 p.m. at the funeral home.

NEWTON Services for Carl Lee Ledlow will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. at Macedonia Primitive Baptist Church with the Rev. Hilton Moore officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. James F. Webb Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Ledlow, 99, of Newton, died Tuesday, May 27, 2003, in Decatur. He was born Aug. 31, 1903, and lived in the Macedonia Community all his life. He was a member of Macedonia Primitive Baptist Church.
Survivors include his daughter, Emma Lee May of Newton; three granddaughters, Sue Dramer and her husband, Larry, of Pearl, Cindy Williams and her husband, Jerry, of Newton and Sheila Heard and her husband, Jimmy, of Bay Springs; great-grandchildren, Joel and Lisa Dramer, Karen Williams and her husband, James, Dusty Green, and Trey and Sarah Heard; and a great-great-grandchild, Wesley Williams.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 72 years, Cynthia Gressett Ledlow; and sisters, Ludia Mae Easom and Wydell Warren.
Pallbearers will be Wilber Easom, Barry Bufkin, Travis Ledlow, Hubert Hollingsworth, Layne McDill, Neil Knight and Curtis Blackburn.
Visitation will be today 5 p.m.-9 p.m. at the funeral home.
Retired Hanson Scales Factory worker
QUITMAN Graveside services for Sue Dew Glass were held Tuesday at 10 a.m. at Antioch Cemetery with the Rev. Grady Crowell officiating. Wright's Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Ms. Glass, 81, of Quitman, died Monday, May 26, 2003, at H.C. Watkins Memorial Hospital.
Survivors include her brother, W.A. Dew; a sister, Verna Mae Wright and a cousin, Willie Dew, all of Quitman; and several nieces and nephews.
Arrangements were incomplete at Barham Funeral Home in Newton for Robert F. "Bob" Hindman, 68, of Decatur, who died Tuesday, May 27, 2003, at Rush Foundation Hospital.
