Knight, Wadas

Kellie Joyce Wadas and Dwayne Anthony Knight were married Saturday, Oct. 19, 2002, on the beach in Oranjestad Aruba with the Revs. Sydnay Michael Jacob and Michele Osboune officiating.
Parents of the couple are Jerome and Joyce Wadas of Ord, Neb., and Alton and Geraldine Knight of Soso.
The bride is the granddaughter of the late Albert and Stacie Parkos, and the late Ben and Bernice Wadas both of Ord, Neb.
The bridegroom is the grandson of Otis and Aubrey Hill and the late Rancie and Laura Knight, all of Soso.
The bride chose a non-traditional gown of her own design. The gown was a close fitting backless sheath of iridescent nylon with a plunging neckline and spaghetti straps enhanced with a fish-tail style train. A single rhinestone pinwheel broach was attached in the front and the back of the dress featured tie straps.
On the eve of the wedding the couple enjoyed a candlelight dinner on the beach.
After a honeymoon in Aruba, the couple resides in Meridian.
