Lott: War will not be easy

Republican U.S. Sen. Trent Lott said Thursday he believes many Americans wrongly believed the war against Iraq was going to be a cinch victory.
Lott said that it was obvious the Pentagon and the Bush Administration never intended to wage war by carpet-bombing targets.
However, Lott added: "I have some concern that we're a little bit too obsessed with not wanting to do any damage from a humanitarian standpoint, and we may be, somewhat, putting our own people at risk."
