Skeletal remains to be re-buried

Clarke County Sheriff Todd Kemp said Friday that skeletal remains found northeast of Enterprise on Highway 514 will be re-buried adjacent to the site within a month.
Workers from Price Construction found the bones Thursday while excavating a pipeline for Southern Natural Gas.
Kemp said his department, the Mississippi Highway Patrol, the Mississippi Crime Lab and a forensic anthropologist sifted through mounds of dirt and determined the remains were from an old grave.
Kemp said the skull was in good shape and was probably buried more than 100 years ago. He said owners of the property have had the land since 1918, "so the bones are pre-1918."
