Lester L. McDonald

PHILADELPHIA Services for Lester L. McDonald will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Coye Assembly of God with the Revs. Lawrence Pool and Ray Luke officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery in Preston. McClain-Hays Funeral Service is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. McDonald, 84, of Preston, died Monday, Dec. 30, 2002, in Kemper County. He was a native and longtime resident of the Prince Chapel Community in Kemper County.
He was a retired electrician and a retired electrical instructor at Ross Collins Vocational Center in Meridian. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and served in Italy and Africa during World War II. He was a member of Coye Assembly of God Church.
Survivors include his wife, Edna Earle McDonald of Preston; a son, Jimmy McDonald and his wife, Faye, of Preston; grandchildren, Lee McDonald and his wife, Lora, and Stevie McDonald; great-granddaughters, Sidney McDonald and Taylor McDonald; a brother, Wess McDonald of Presto;n and several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Barry Wright, Kirk Morgan, Lonnie Long, Yates McDonald, John Lee Jackson, Larry Wayne Nowell, Mitchell McDonald, Floyd McDonald and Rex McDonald.
Visitation will be Tuesday 5 p.m.-9 p.m. at the funeral home.
Johnny Stewart Jr.
Services for Johnny Stewart Jr. will be held Friday at 11 a.m. at Stephens Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in Stewart Family Cemetery.
Mr. Stewart of Meridian, died Saturday, Dec. 28, 2002, in his home.
Visitation will be Thursday 5 p.m.-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Dora Warren Goss
Retired factory worker
UNION Services for Dora Warren Goss will be held Friday at 2 p.m. at Stephens Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Bobby Barfoot and Brian McDonald officiating. Burial will be in Union City Cemetery.
Mrs. Goss, 71, of Union, died Monday, Dec. 30, 2002, at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center.
Survivors include her daughters, Janet Espey of Meridian, Linda Crossland of Philadelphia and Brenda Jones of Union; sons, Charles Derrell Goss, Ronny Glenn Goss and Freddy Joe Goss, all of Union, and Michael Lee Goss of Newton; a sister, Jewell DeWeese of Union; 13 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, D.L. Goss; a son, Gerald Ray Goss; and a granddaughter.
Visitation will be Thursday 2 p.m.-10 p.m. and Friday until service time at the funeral home.

BUTLER, Ala. Graveside services for Era Mae Tyler were held Monday at 3 p.m. at Pine Hill Cemetery with the Rev. Ben Gerald officiating. Bumpers Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Tyler, 85, of Butler, formerly of Pine Hill, died Sunday, Dec. 29, 2002, at Selma Baptist Hospital.
Survivors include her daughter, Ann Webb of Temple, Texas; two grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Hugh L. Tyler of Pine Hill.
Retired Lt. Cmdr. Kenneth L. Templeton
Graveside services for Retired Lt. Cmdr. Kenneth L. Templeton will be held Thursday at 1 p.m. at Magnolia Cemetery. Stephens Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Templeton of Meridian, died Sunday, Dec. 29, 2002, in his home.
Myrtie Gressett Harvey
Arrangements were incomplete at Stephens Funeral Home for Myrtie Gressett Harvey of Meridian, who died Monday, Dec. 30, 2002, at Guardian Angel Hospice.
Glen Jordan
Arrangements were incomplete at Berry and Gardner Funeral Home for Glen Jordan, 63, of Meridian, who died Sunday, Dec. 29, 2002, at Riley Hospital.
