A second armed robbery of a Burger King restaurant on North Frontage Road proved successful for a masked man in the pre-dawn hours Saturday.
Two workers said they were leaving the store about 12:55 a.m. when a man brandishing a chrome pistol and dressed in black approached them.
McQuarley said the robber "pointed the gun at us" and fled the parking lot on foot with money in a bank deposit bag.
The armed robbery came about four hours after two men driving a black sports utility vehicle tried to rob the restaurant's drive-through window with a gun. That attempt, however, was unsuccessful.
The Meridian Police Department is investigating the incidents. Anyone with any information is asked to call CrimeStoppers at 485-1860.
