Cole graduates from basic training

LAWTON, Okla. Army Pvt. Michael D. Cole, son of Lloyd Cole of Meridian, has graduated from basic combat military training here at Fort Sill.
During eight weeks of training, Cole, a 2001 graduate of Northeast Lauderdale High School, studied the Army mission and received instruction in drill and ceremonies, rifle marksmanship, weapons, map reading and tactics. The course of instruction also included armed and unarmed combat, military courtesy, military justice, physical fitness, first aid, Army history, core values and traditions, and special training in human relations.
