MPD investigates early morning shooting

A Meridian man was transported to a local hospital early today after being shot in the arm during an altercation in a parked car.
The Meridian Police Department is investigating the shooting, which happened around 6 a.m. at the corner of 39th Avenue and Vally Street.
Detective Deano Harper, a spokesman for the MPD, said the victim's injuries did not appear to be life-threatening.
