Raines, Lucas

Brandi Kay Raines and Ryan Patrick Lucas together with their parents announce their engagement.
The wedding will be Saturday, Dec. 28, 2002, at 2 p.m. at Bucatunna Baptist Church in the Snell Community.
Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Ronnie Raines of Toomsuba, and Mr. and Mrs. Charles Lucas of Meridian.
Miss Raines is the granddaughter of Ludie Chandler of Enterprise and the late Theodore Chandler, Nell Raines of Meridian and the late Herman Raines.
The bride-elect is a graduate of Southeast Lauderdale High School and will receive a registered nursing degree from Meridian Community College in May of 2003.
While attending MCC, she has received two scholarships: the Miriam Roberson Nursing Scholarship and the Lerner Scholarship.
Miss Raines is employed part-time in the nursery at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center.
Mr. Lucas is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Mosley, Evie Lou Lucas and the late Clifford Lucas, all of Meridian.
The bridegroom-elect is a graduate of Southeast Lauderdale High School and is currently serving in the U.S. Navy where he is stationed in Great Lakes, Ill., attending the Navy Hospital Corpsman School.
A reception will be held in the church fellowship hall following the ceremony. Family and friends are invited to attend.
