The congregation of NorthPark Church is gearing up for the church's annual Christmas musical, "The Long-Awaited King."
Performances are scheduled for 7 p.m. Dec. 14 and 6 p.m. Dec. 15. There is no charge for admission; no nursery will be provided
According to Rick Wise, associate pastor, the presentation will be a magical combination of music, drama, dance and staging that will transport the audience back in time to the birth of Jesus.
The story is woven together by Benjamin, the scribe, who has been asked by Herod to search the scriptures and find the place where the King of the Jews would be born.
He begins studying the prophecies concerning the promise of the Messiah, the long-awaited king.
NorthPark Church is at 7770 Highway 39 North, across from Northeast Middle School. For more information, call the church office at 482-1322.
