West Lauderdale, Clarkdale win two

The West Lauderdale Lady Knights, ranked in the state's Top 10, overcame a slow first half to turn it on and whip the Kemper County Lady Wildcats 59-29 in DeKalb on Tuesday night.
West Lauderdale improves to 9-0 on the season.
West only led 23-12 at the half but used a 26-3 third quarter to blow the game open.
Gardner led the way with 17 points. J.J. Huggins had 11.
West will return to action after Thanksgiving to play in the East Central Invitational. The Lady Knights will be the top seed in the tournament.
West Lauderdale boys 79
Kemper County 72
The West Lauderdale Knights remained unbeaten beating Kemper County 79-72 in DeKalb on Tuesday night.
The Knights improve to 8-0 with the win.
Calvin Moore tossed in a season high 36 points. Boo Ramsey chipped in 22.
Kemper County was led by Terrance Westerfield with 26 points.
Clarkdale girls 66
The Clarkdale Lady Bulldogs won its second straight game in two days by beating Stringer 66-54 on Tuesday night.
Felicia Kirksey led Clarkdale with 16 points. Jamie Hales had 12.
Stringer was led by Alpacka Moore with 16 followed by Kelly Lacy with 15 and Amelia Williams added 13.
Clarkdale led 17-9 after one quarter and 35-21 at the half. Clarkdale then used a 22-10 third quarter to blow the game open.
Clarkdale boys 64
Clarkdale rallied from an early 10-point deficit to beat Stringer 64-58 in boys action on Tuesday night.
The Bulldogs got going in the second quarter with 21 points to pull within two at 30-28 by halftime. They then scored 17 in the third quarter to go up 45-40.
A 19-point fourth quarter put the game away.
Clarkdale was led by Clinton Walker with 19 points. Matt Tucker had 14.
The Red Devils were paced by Rodney McDonald had 26 points and Eric Cook added 14.
Lake boys 85
Lake beat Stringer 85-64 on Monday night. The Hornets are now 3-1 on the season. No other details were reported.
Lake girls 69
The Lady Hornets moved their record to 3-0 on the season with a 69-46 win over Stringer. No other details were reported.
Central girls 37
Winston Academy 31
The Lady Vikings outscored Winston 13-4 in the first quarter and used that edge to hold off a late rally and take the six-point win on Tuesday night.
Megan Stokes had 20 points and 20 rebounds for the winners, while Olivia Reed had 10 points and seven rebounds. Hope Estes led Winston with 11.
Neshoba Central 50
Philadelphia boys 41
The Rockets of Neshoba Central used 12 points each from Calvin Parker, Anthony Pickens and Eric Truss to take a 50-41 win over arch-rival Philadelphia on Tuesday night and move their record to 6-1 on the season. Philadelphia falls to 2-2 on the year. Bobby Goodin led the Tornadoes with 14 points.

Neshoba Central 51
Shekara Young scored 17 points to lead the Lady Tornadoes to their first win of the season.
Myia Henson and Britney Grace had 12 points each for the Lady Tornadoes, who improved to 1-3 on the year with the win.
India Baxtrum scored 20 points for the 0-7 Lady Rockets, while Krystal Wells added 17. Neshoba Central led 28-25 at the half, but Philly outscored the Lady Rockets 17-5 in the third quarter to take control of the game.
