SCOOBA East Mississippi Community College welcomed several Mississippi University for Women officials to the Scooba campus for a tour and a luncheon this week.
MUW officials who attended the Monday event included Claudia Limbert, president; Tom Scarbrough, dean of enrollment and information services; Patsy McDaniel, alumni director; and Katy Canion, community college liaison to the EMCC Scooba campus.
After Sept. 11, 2001, the EMCC extension on the Columbus Air Force Base was relocated due to new military restrictions. EMCC was temporarily relocated on the MUW campus for fall 2002 classes.
For the sixth time in nine years, MUW has been ranked first in master's level institutions in the South by U.S. News and World Report, said Limbert. Limbert plans to travel the state visiting community colleges.
