QUITMAN The organizer of Clarke County's community cleanup believes a pattern has been set for the future.
Leigh Moore said more than 270 volunteers picked up litter and trash in the northern, southern and eastern parts of the county on Saturday. The volunteers wore T-shirts saying, "I made a difference cleaning up Clarke County."
Moore said plans call for a similar cleanup effort in the spring and to provide information to school-age children and their parents about the problems resulting from littering.
