Power Hour, which brings the Christian community together for inspiration and encouragement, is Thursdays at First Baptist Church. The hour includes lunch, fellowship, prayer, inspirational music and testimony. Attendance is open to all races, denominations and genders. No reservations are necessary.
The cost of a deluxe meal is $6.50. Lunch is 11:45 a.m.-12:15 p.m. The program begins at 12:15 p.m. and ends at 12:45 p.m.

Fellowship Baptist Church is collecting labels from Campbell products to buy equipment for the church. Labels from the following Campbell products are requested: soups, beans, Swanson broths, Pepperidge Farm products, Prego pasta sauces, V-8 juice and Franco-American Spaghettios.

TODAY
A church rummage and bake sale will be held from 7 a.m.-noon at Andrew Chapel Methodist Church. Furniture, clothes, crafts and baked goods will be sold. The church is on Hillview Drive, off Highway 39.
LAKE A benefit auction, bake sale and dinner sale is scheduled for 11 a.m. today at The Sanctuary. Proceeds will benefit Esther and Joe Williams, kidney dialysis and epileptic patients. For more information or donations, call 775-3467.
MARTINVILLE COMMUNITY Ed Enoch and Golden Covenant will be in concert at 7 p.m. today at Kennedy Springs Baptist Church. The group shared the stage with Elvis Presley until his death in 1977. Also appearing will be The Next Generation. The church is on Highway 540, eight miles northeast of Magee in the Martinville community of Simpson County.
LAUDERDALE The Melody Kings of Starkville will be in concert at Mount Carmel Baptist Church at 7 p.m. today. Performances by other groups also will be featured. The church is on York Road.
SUNDAY
Corinth Assembly of God will host homecoming services Sunday. Sunday school begins at 10 a.m. with morning services at 11. Guest speaker will be the Rev. Steve Jones of Barton. A lunch will be in the fellowship hall with a singing beginning at 1:30 p.m. The public is invited. The church is seven miles east of Quitman.
The pastor and members of Sunlight Baptist Church invite the public to their first annual Men and Women's Day at 2:30 p.m. Sunday. The Rev. Stantley Coleman, pastor of New Cannan Baptist Church, will be guest speaker. The church is at 114 47th Ave. Call 482-2904.
The Seven Seals Program will be held at Pine Grove AME Church in Ward, Ala., at 6 p.m. Sunday. The public is invited.
UPCOMING
HATTIESBURG The Christian band Jars of Clay will be in concert on at 7 p.m. Thursday at the James Lynn Cartlidge Forrest County Multi-Purpose Center. The Elms will be the opening act.
Advance general admission tickets are $15 or $12 for groups of 10 or more. General admission is $18 at the door. Tickets are available at the following Hattiesburg locations: Crossgates Christian Supply Center, Lighthouse Christian Bookstore, Lemstone Books, First Priority and the Multi-Purpose Center.
