Engineer requests new equipment

One of Lauderdale County's four road-crew satellite sites has a steel-wheel roller for patching roads and the county engineer said that's not enough
Neal Carson asked supervisors during a work session Thursday to approve the purchase of three more. The board of supervisors meets in formal session on Monday.
In addition to the three rollers, Carson asked supervisors to approve requests for a bulldozer and an excavator. He estimated the total cost for the equipment at $325,000.
County supervisors have set aside $1.6 million in their current annual budget for the purchase of equipment.
