Homecoming, bonfire at MHS Friday

Meridian High School's Homecoming is scheduled for Friday night as the Wildcats take on Oak Grove at 7:30 p.m. at Ray Stadium.
During halftime, the 2002 Homecoming Queen will be announced. Prior to this, the annual Homecoming Parade will be held today beginning at 4:30 p.m. The parade will begin at the Meridian Public Schools Central Office, heading south to Eighth Street, east to 22nd Avenue, north to Ninth Street, west to 24th Avenue to Poplar Springs Drive, and then to Meridian High School.
The parade will disband at the gates to the MHS lower parking lot, and the students will proceed to the Band Practice Field (adjacent to the tennis courts) for a Homecoming bonfire. The Homecoming Maids and Beaus will be presented and the Bonfire King will be announced.
