O.D. SISTRUNK
SEBASTOPOL Services for O.D. Sistrunk will be held today at 11 a.m. at Milling Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Matt Clark officiating. Burial will be in High Hill Baptist Church Cemetery.
Mr. Sistrunk, 73, of Walnut Grove, died Tuesday, Oct. 22, 2002, in Walnut Grove.
Survivors include his wife, Odessa Sistrunk of Walnut Grove; a daughter, Kathy Moore and her husband, Buddy, a son, Paul L. Sistrunk Sr. and his wife, Margie, all of Sebastopol; two grandchildren, Kimberly Pinter and Brandy Pace Parker; a grandson, Paul L. Sistrunk Jr.; and three great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Paul L. Sistrunk Jr., Justin Parker, Michael Sistrunk, Jerry Bell, Jay Davidson, Larry Reeves and Mac Sistrunk.

PHILADELPHIA Services for Marvel Bates will be held Friday at 10 a.m. at McClain-Hays Funeral Service Chapel with the Rev. Coy Miller officiating. Burial will be in Cooks Chapel Cemetery in Neshoba County.
Mrs. Bates, 83, of Philadelphia, died Wednesday, Oct. 23, 2002, at Guardian Angel Hospice in Marion. She was the retired director of the Kemper County Welfare Office.
Survivors include her husband, Argus Bates and a son, Darrel Bates, both of Philadelphia; and three grandchildren.
Visitation will be today 5 p.m.-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
MARTHA JANE THOMPSON
Graveside services for Martha Jane Thompson will be held Friday at 10 a.m. at Mt. Pleasant Methodist Church Cemetery. James F. Webb Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Thompson, 74, of Meridian, died Wednesday, Oct. 23, 2002, in her home.
Survivors include her two sons, Richard Thompson and Clarence Thompson Jr.; two grandsons, David Thompson and Randy Thompson; two great-grandchildren, Destiny Thompson and Sunrise Nichole Thompson, all of Meridian; a daughter-in-law, Barbara Thompson; a granddaughter-in-law, Crystle Thompson; and a special friend, Faye Cochran.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Thompson; and a great-grandchild, Ivory Thompson.
Visitation will be today 5 p.m.-8 p.m. at the funeral home.

CLANTON, Ala. Services for George Edwin Thomas will be held Friday at 11 a.m. at Martin Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Tony Smitherman officiating. Burial will be in Moncrief Cemetery in Gardendale, Ala.
Mr. Thomas, 63, of Clanton, died Monday, Oct. 21, 2002, at Shelby Baptist Medical Center in Alabaster, Ala.
Survivors include a son, Steven R. Thomas of Verbena, Ala.; daughters, Kathy Stephens of Jacksonville, Fla., Teresa Collins and Anita Basham, both of Meridian; and seven grandchildren.
Visitation will be today 6 p.m.-8 p.m. at the funeral home.

MOBILE, Ala. Graveside services for Vinson Horace Jellenc will be held Friday at 11 a.m. at Magnolia Cemetery in Meridian with Radney Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Jellenc of Mobile, died Tuesday, Oct. 22, 2002, in Mobile. He was a native of Hurricane Creek and a resident of Mobile for the past 49 years. He was a veteran of World War II and served in the 4th Marine Division in the Pacific Theater. He was a member of First Christian Church of Mobile and retired from Commercial Credit after more than 28 years.
Survivors include his wife, Marion Jackson Jellenc of Mobile; a son, Vinson David Jellenc and his wife, Theresa, of Montrose, Ala.; grandsons, Stephen David Jellenc and Dawson Carter Jellenc; two sisters, Elsie Anne Oliveira of San Diego and Grace Johnson of Meridian; and several nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Dirks, 78, of Macon, died Tuesday, Oct. 22, 2002, at Oktibbeha County Hospital in Starkville.
Survivors include her husband, Abe Dirks; sons, Gaylen and Rodney Dirks, both of Gainesville, Ala., Clinton and Eugene Dirks, both of Geiger; daughters, Donna Dirks of Newbern, Ala., and Pauletta Boese of Macon; brothers, Virgil Unruh, Floyd Unruh and Delmar Unruh, all of Bonners Ferry, Idaho, Paul Unruh of Buhl, Idaho, and Leonard Unruh of Grafton, N.D.; sisters, Lillie Mastre of Grant, Neb., and Regina Unruh of Bonners Ferry.
Visitation will be Friday 7 p.m.-8:30 p.m. at the church.
