Shanta Drane, 27, of Meridian, died Thursday at University Medical Center in Jackson.
Drane, who was five-months pregnant, was transported to UMC with injuries from a two-vehicle crash that happened at 14th Street and 29th Avenue on Sept. 22.
The crash also claimed the life of Twanna Patton, 38, of Meridian, who was a passenger in the car Drane was driving. Drew Martin of Meridian, driver of the other vehicle involved, was not injured.
Capt. Jeff Lewis of the Meridian Police Department said Thursday that the crash is still under investigation by the department's accident investigation team.
Marl Cobler, Lauderdale County Medical Examiner, said an autopsy is scheduled to be performed on Drane today by the state medical examiner's office.
