Three under-par rounds led visiting Faulkner State, Ala., to claim the Meridian Community College Fall Invitational on Tuesday at the Meridian Naval Air Station's Ponta Creek Golf Course.
Medalist Jake Shaw led the charge for the Suns with a two-under 70 on Tuesday. Shaw had a 71 on Monday's first round and finished the tournament as the only golfer under par at 141.
Shaw's teammate in Derrick Bolling had a tough second day. Bolling led after the first round shooting a four-under 68. On Tuesday, he went four-over and ended in second place at 144.
Shaw had no such difficulties in carding his 70 on Tuesday.
Thomas Shelton finished at 146 to join teammates Shaw and Bolling in the top three. MCC's Daniel Boles tied for third with a 146. Boles had an even-par 72 on Monday before carding a 74 in the second round.
