Burks, Brown

Mr. and Mrs. Willis Burks of Collinsville announce the engagement of their daughter, Ashley Michelle, to Jesse Brown, son of Dan Brown of Collinsville and Debbie Todd of Chunky.
The wedding will be Saturday, Oct. 5, 2002, at 3 p.m. at First Baptist Church in Collinsville.
Miss Burks is the granddaughter of June Killen of Flint, Mich., Sennett Killen of Union, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Burks of Philadelphia.
The bride-elect is a graduate of West Lauderdale High School and received a degree in health information technology from Meridian Community College.
While attending MCC, she was a member of Health Occupation Students of America and Health Information Technology Association.
Miss Burks is employed by Connections Unlimited.
Mr. Brown is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Todd of Chunky, Rubye Brown and the late Harold M. Brown.
The bridegroom-elect is a graduate of West Lauderdale High School. He is employed by Capital Air Balance in Jackson.
A reception will be held in the church Family Life Center following the ceremony.
Family and friends are invited to attend.
