The Lauderdale County Sheriff's Department is asking for the public's help in solving an armed robbery that happened at a convenience store at the Interstate 20/59 Toomsuba exit.
Chief Deputy Mike Mitchell said a black man carrying a small handgun entered the Fuel Mart on Friday about 8:40 p.m. Mitchell said the suspect told the clerk to open the safe and give up the money.
The man was wearing a ski mask, white gloves and black clothing, Mitchell said. The exact amount of the missing money was not available, but Mitchell said it was believed to have been several hundred dollars.
