FERN HENSON

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas Services for Fern Henson will be held Sunday at 3 p.m. at Church of the King in Corpus Christi with graveside services and burial to be at Seaside Memorial Park Cemetery. Seaside Memorial Park and Cemetery is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Henson, 87, of Corpus Christi, died Tuesday, Aug. 27, 2002. She was born in Meridian on Dec. 2, 1914 and lived most of her life here.
Survivors include her son, Charles Gerald Henson and his wife, Nancy, of McAllen; her daughter, Kay Lindley and her husband, Jim, of Corpus Christi; and eight grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren.
She was preceded by her husband, Charles Blackwell Henson.
Memorials may be made to Church of the King, 1012 Annapolis Dr., Corpus Christi, Texas, 78412, in memory of Mrs. Henson.
Visitation will be today from 4 p.m.- 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
JAMES HAROLD ODOM
JACKSON Services for James Harold Odom will be held Monday at 9 a.m. at Lakewood Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in Oak Grove United Methodist Church Cemetery in Meridian at 1 p.m.
Mr. Odom, 46, of Clinton, died Friday, Aug. 30, 2002, at St. Dominic Hospital. He was born in Meridian to the late Joe W. Odom and Bonnie Hurst Odom in 1956. He had lived in the Clinton area for 18 years and was a former resident of Jackson. He was a sports enthusiast and an avid fisherman. He was Baptist.
He is survived by a loving family: his mother, Bonnie Lucile Odom, of Clinton; a son and daughter-in-law, Jimmy L. Odom and Ginny, of Raymond; a brother, Johnny Odom of Florence; a sister, Diane Odom McManus, of Ward, Ark.; a grandson, James Sidney Odom; four nieces; and four nephews.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Diabetes Foundation.
Visitation will be held Sunday from 4 p.m.-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
ALGENE LAMAR TINSLEY
Retired
Services for Algene Lamar Tinsley were held Saturday, Aug. 17, at Barham Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Bob Null officiating. Burial was in Forest Lawn Cemetery.
Mr. Tinsley, 82, of the Damascus Community, died Wednesday, Aug. 14, 2002, at St. Dominic's Hospital in Jackson. He was retired from the U.S. Department of Agriculture after more than 35 years. He was a native of the Damascus Community and was a veteran of World War II, and served in the U.S. Air Force in the 48th Fighter Squadron.
Survivors include his wife, Renia Lewis Tinsley of Damascus; one daughter, Doretta Tinsley Ocampo of Damascus; three sons, Ricky Tinsley and his wife, Deborah, of Mira Loma, Calif., Billy Tinsley of Damascus and Johnny Tinsley of Bailey; nine grandchildren, Joshua, Charla and Jacob Tinsley, Tanya, Jessica, and Shawna Ocampo, Jeremy, Jason, and Amber Tinsley; seven great-grandchildren, Kelton Ocampo, Kylah Hope Ocampo, Mariana Ocampo and Detra Ocampo, Brandon Tinsley, Eleiana Tinsley, and Mia Hope Ocampo; and a sister, Blanche Mozella Tinsley Gunter, of Meridian.
