WALTER P. MCDUFFIE
Retired
Services for Walter P. McDuffie were to be held today at 11:30 a.m. at James F. Webb Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jeff Hancock officiating. Burial was to be in Magnolia Cemetery.
Mr. McDuffie, 73, of Meridian, died Thursday, Aug. 22, 2002, at Riley Hospital. He was a veteran and a member of First Church of God. He was a retired salesman with Motor Supply.
Survivors include his wife, Sybil M. McDuffie of Meridian; two sons, Ernest Paul McDuffie and Mark Wayne McDuffie of Wheatly, Wis.; a nephew, Jimmy McDuffie; and two nieces, Judy Dubose and Penny Thomas.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James Leroy McDuffie and Corrie Anderson McDuffie.
Pallbearers will be Ray Eubanks, Dalton Williamson, Edward Wright, Richard Mulling, LeRoy Corley and Lynn Davidson. Honorary pallbearer will be Gene Harris.
ALICE ELAINE BLOUNT

PHILADELPHIA Services for Alice Elaine Blount will be held today at 3:30 p.m. at John E. Stephens Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Grady Wood and Dr. Wayne Hill officiating. Burial will be in Old Mars Hill Cemetery in Winston County.
Mrs. Blount, 69, of Philadelphia, died Saturday, Aug. 24, 2002, at Laird Hospital in Union.
Survivors include her husband, Arden Blount, two daughters, Trudy Letetia King and her husband, Jerry, and Beverly Cherl Whitehead and her husband, Kenny, a son, Kenneth M. Blount, all of Philadelphia; a sister, Sally Hutchinson of Spring Branch, Texas; a brother, George H. Newman of Walla Walla, Wash.; two grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
LUCILE V. HUNNICUTT

Services for Lucile V. Hunnicutt will be held Tuesday at 10 a.m. at James F. Webb Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Dr. David McCubbin officiating. Burial will be in Magnolia Cemetery.
Mrs. Hunnicutt, 93, of Meridian, died Saturday, Aug. 24, 2002, in her home. She was a member of First Baptist Church and the Esther Sunday School Class.
Survivors include her son, William R. Hunnicutt Jr. of Meridian; a daughter, Mary Ann Gerhardt and her husband, Bob, of Magnolia; a grandson, William F. Massey III and his wife, Ellie, of Meridian; a granddaughter, Margaret Ann Massey of New Orleans; great-grandchildren, Christopher Briggs of New Orleans, Emily Massey and Hannah Massey, both of Meridian.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Edward C. Vandiver and Mary Hooks Vandiver.
Visitation will be today 5 p.m.-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
KATHRYN ANN COUCH LACY

Services for Kathryn Ann Couch Lacy will be held Tuesday at 10 a.m. at Barham Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Dr. William Lacy, Edward Smith and Ben James officiating. Burial will be in Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery in Toomsuba.
Mrs. Lacy, 89, of Toomsuba, died Saturday, Aug. 24, 2002, at King's Daughters and Sons Rest Home. She taught elementary school for 42 years and had a lifelong interest in the welfare and accomplishments of each student.
Survivors include her daughters, Kathryn Dell Coker and her husband, Charles; three granddaughters, Beth Smith and her husband, John, Alison Irwin and her husband, Les, and Charla Pierce and her husband, Sam; great-grandchildren, Lacy Smith, Alex Smith and Justin Irwin, all of Toomsuba; sisters, Celeste Long of Milledgeville, Ga., and Julia Bynum of Ellisville; and her special friends, Ethel Ray and Virgie Barney of Toomsuba.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Dell Lacy; her parents, Tom and Jodie Couch; six brothers and a sister.
Visitation will be today 5 p.m.-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
ORAN DALE REDDEN
QUITMAN Services for Oran Dale Redden will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Wright's Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Mitchell McDonald officiating. Burial will be in Odd Fellows Cemetery.
Mr. Redden, 92, of Quitman, died Sunday, Aug. 25, 2002, in his home. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and served in World War II. He was very instrumental in the organization and development of the Quitman Public Library and served on its board for numerous years.
He was active in First United Methodist Church in Quitman and in community and civic organizations in Quitman and Clarke County.
Survivors include several nieces and nephews, Cindy Castle of Quitman, Gayle Malone of Meridian, Beverly Richardson of Jackson, Lana Myers of Chunchula, Ala., Warren Redden of Gulfport, Ricky Redden of Gulfport, L.G. Wright Sr. of Quitman, Jimmy Irby of Pensacola, Fla., Chuck Irby of Laurel and Joe Castles of Houston, Texas; three sisters-in-law, Mrs. Urna Castles of Houston, Texas, Mae Ethel Irby of Laurel and Margaret W. Lane of Brandon.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Gladys Wright Redden.
Memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church of Quitman or the Quitman Public Library.
Pallbearers will be Guilliam Graham, Al Vowell, John Hammack, Sam Davis, Doug Hester and Sonny Young.
Honorary pallbearers will be Carter Jones, Dr. Walter Gunn, H.B. Hammack, C.L. Hunter, Bobby Donald, Franklin Slay and Hal Dabbs.
Visitation will be today beginning at 5 p.m. at the funeral home.
SYLVIA JEAN WARREN KINARD
Retired from American Freightways
Services for Sylvia Jean Warren Kinard will be held Tuesday at 11:30 a.m. at Barham Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Chuck Overby and Reid Whittington officiating. Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery in the Martin Community.
Mrs. Kinard, of Meridian, died Monday, Aug. 26, 2002, in her home. She attended Prospect Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include her husband, Billy Kinard of Meridian; two sons, Ricky McMullen and his wife, Kris, and Freddy McMullen, all of Mandeville, La.; a daughter, Tammy McMullen of Newton; seven grandchildren, Shanna McMullen, Manning McMullen, Maghee McMullen, Alexa McMullen, Andrew Flow, Maggie Mann and Scotty Fletcher; two brothers, Dewayne Warren and his wife, Elaine, and Charles Warren, all of Dallas; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Debra McMullen.
Visitation will be today at 5 p.m.-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
ROY JAMES LANGDON
Services for Roy James Langdon were held Sunday at 2:30 p.m. at James F. Webb Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Lin Chesney officiating. Burial was in Pine Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.
Mr. Landon, 79, of Hickory, died Friday, Aug. 23, 2002, at the University of Mississippi Medical Center. He was a retired carpenter and a member of Hickory Baptist Church.
Survivors include his daughters, Barbara Faye Sanderson of Lawrence and Brenda O'Neal James of Hickory; a son, Roy R. Langdon of Lawrence; a brother, Jay Langdon of Meridian; five grandchildren and a sister, Sybile Taylor of Saraland, Ala.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Artie Cape Langdon.
Pallbearers will be Bob Warren, Joe Warren, Jack Dove, Kerry Benson, Harold Parnell and Stan Langdon.
CORNELIUS NATHAN MOORE
Services for Cornelius Nathan Moore will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Barham Funeral Home Chapel.
Mr. Moore, 95, of Waynesboro, who died Saturday, Aug. 24, 2002, at Wayne General Hospital.
Visitation will be today from 5 p.m.-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
STANLEY NEIL LYLES
Arrangements were incomplete at Barham Funeral Home for Stanley Neil "Sam" Lyles, 47, of Meridian who died in August in his home.
