Townsend, Harper

Freddie and Jan Townsend of Pelahatchie announce the engagement of their daughter, Jennifer Ruth, to Jason Lance Harper, son of Melvin and Linda Harper of Meridian.
The wedding will be Saturday, Sept. 2, 2002, at 2 p.m. at First Baptist Church of Brandon at the East Campus.
Miss Townsend is the granddaughter of Henry Townsend of Pelahatchie and the late Ladell Townsend, and the late Joyce Massengale of Collins.
The bride-elect is a graduate of East Rankin Academy and attended Hinds Community College. She received a degree in dental hygiene from Meridian Community College.
While attending Hinds, she was a member of the Hinds Eagle Tennis Team.
Miss Townsend is a dental hygienist working for Dr. Rodney French at the Castlewoods Dental Clinic
Mr. Harper is the grandson of Kathy Harper of Meridian and the late Henry Harper, and the late A.J. and Lottie Richardson of Meridian.
The bridegroom-elect is a graduate of Northeast Lauderdale High School. He is an insurance agent with Parker and Associates
A reception will be held in the church fellowship hall following the ceremony.
Family and friends are invited to attend.
