Browns post win in Northwood event

Eddie and Nick Brown shot a 58 in the first round and a 59 in the second round to win the Northwood 2002 Parent/Child Tournament last weekend.
The Browns finished the tournament with a 117, seven strokes ahead of Ed and Austin Holmes.
Chuck and Clark Gordon came in third with a 126. The pair shot a 62 on the first day and then finished off the tournament with a second-round 64.
H.G. and Alex Weddington shot a 66 in the first round and shot a second-round 63 to finish with a 129 and take first in their flight. David and Leon Bailey shot a 130 to finish second while David and Scott Larkin came in with a 133 to finish third.
Billy and Jason Anders finished first in the their flight with a 131. The pair shot a 62 in the second round after a 69 in the first round. Clay and Debbie Bounds took second in the flight with a 132 while Don Bounds and Shaun Eubanks took third with a 133.
In the next flight, Billy and Sonny Wedgeworth shot a 69 in the first round and a 64 in the second to take first with a 133. Johnathan and Sammy Broadhead finished second in the flight at 135. David and Nathan Bailey and Daniel and Jimmy Whitehead finished at 137.
Brian and Cooper Brookshire won their flight with a 139. The pair shot a second-round 66. Steve and Steven Stewart also shot a 66 in the second day of action but finished a shot back in second. Bilbo and David Mitchell and Chad and Dale Bounds finished in third at 141.
Dale and Scott Bounds took first in the next flight with a 145. The pair shot a 76 on the first day but recovered with a 69 in the second round to take the win. Drew and Leslie Rush finished second in the group with a 148 while Allen and Anne Marie Massingill took third with a 150.
Larry and Mary Lawrence Love shot a 73 in the second round and finished with a 154 in the their flight. Bentley and Bill Crawford also finished with a 154 in the flight. David and Jim McGinnis finished in third with a 156 for the tournament.
