9-11: Special edition

By Staff
Aug. 21, 2002
The Meridian Star will publish a special edition commemorating the first
anniversary of the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks on America and profiling how our community has changed over the past year.
We invite our readers to submit stories for this project, including memories of that tragic day, attitudes toward freedom and observations on the war on terrorism. We are particularly interested in personal accounts of how 9-11 affected your life or the lives of your family and friends. What was church like the next Sunday? Do you belong to a group that held a fund-raiser or volunteered to help? What did you tell your children?
Please consider writing your story for this special section.
Submit by mail to: Buddy Bynum, editor; The Meridian Star; 814 22nd Ave.; Meridian MS 39301. E-mail submissions may be sent to bbynum@themeridianstar.com. Material may also be faxed to (601) 485-1275. The deadline is Sept. 4, 2002.
If you have a question, call editor Buddy Bynum at 693-1551, ext. 3213.
