Tommy Moran is the manager of the Jefferson Parish Recreation Department East Babe Ruth team that participated in the 14-year-old Southwest Regional which finished on Tuesday at MCC's Scaggs Field.
JPRD East finished fourth in the tournament after falling to El Dorado, Ark., on Monday 5-0.
"We had a great time and our season was a great ride. We won the Louisiana championship and advanced to the regionals," Moran said. "The people here were fantastic."
Moran just wishes his team could've scored more.
"We didn't hit the ball in the last three games. We went 20 out of our last 21 innings with out a run. A lot of that, though, was good pitching."
