LEONARD BOYD SULLIVAN
MILLRY, Ala. Services for Leonard Boyd Sullivan will be held today at 11 a.m. at Wagarville Baptist Church with the Rev. Glenn Sullivan officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Phillips Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Sullivan, 74, of Wagarville, died Sunday, Aug. 4, 2002, in his home.
Survivors include his sons, Kelly Floyd Sullivan and Leonard Dwight Sullivan, both of St. Stephens, Ala.; his daughters, Debbie S. Hennis of St. Stephens and Sheryl S. Thornton of Saraland, Ala.; a sister, Anna Lee Odom of Leroy, Ala.; eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Graveside services for Elsie Daniel Emmons Johansen will be held Friday at 10 a.m. at Magnolia Cemetery with the Revs. Edward O'Connor and Dr. Raymon Leake officiating. James F. Webb Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Johansen, 71, of Meridian, died Wednesday, Aug. 7, 2002, at Rush Foundation Hospital. She graduated from Meridian High School and Belhaven College in Jackson. She taught third grade in Panama City and Orlando, Fla., and also at Elm School in Illinois.
Since returning to Meridian in 1992, Mrs. Johansen has worked in the children's clothing department at Sears.
She was one of 12 children born to Rome Augustus and Nita Flynt Emmons.
Survivors include her son, James F. Johansen and his wife, Kim, of Whitehall, Md.; a daughter, Leslie E. Johansen-Salters and her husband, Charles R. Salters IV, of Savannah, Ga.; grandchildren, Anna Michelle and Joseph Frederick Johansen of Whitehall, Md.; a sister, Sara Emmons, brothers, James W. Emmons, Robert W. Emmons Sr. and Mack Emmons, all of Meridian, Rome Emmons of Hattiesburg and Flynt Emmons of Conroe, Texas.
She was preceded in death by were her parents; three sisters, Jane Emmons and Faye Emmons Downey of Meridian and Anita Emmons Covington of Quitman; brothers Rufus and Frances Emmons; her husband, Robert L. Johansen; and their infant son, Joseph Flynt Johansen.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or a favorite charity.

Services for Bernell Peters Lovett will be held Friday at 10 a.m. at Stephens Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. David Dewease officiating. Burial will be in Meridian Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mrs. Lovett, 72, of Meridian, died Tuesday, Aug. 6, 2002, at The Specialty Hospital of Meridian. She was a member of South Side Baptist Church (now known as Central Baptist Church) and an active bowler.
Survivors include her two sons, Randy Mathis and his wife, Kathy, of Russell and Kenneth Wayne Lovett of Collinsville; four grandchildren, Kenneth Lovett Jr., Jessica Raenell Lovett, Kelly Ann Mathis and Ryan Lee Mathis; two great-grandchildren, Jacob Adam Miles and Reagan Leigh Mathis; and a sister, Margaret Peters of Slocomb, Ala.
She was preceded in death by her husband, W.L. Lovett.
Pallbearers will be Ryan Mathis, William Sheehan, Randy Mathis, Kenneth Lovett, Marvin Vining and Kenny Lovett.
Visitation will be today 5 p.m.-8 p.m. at the funeral home.

QUITMAN Services for Helen Mae Hudson will be held Friday at 11 a.m. at Wright's Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Bryan Scarbrough officiating. Burial will be in Odd Fellows Cemetery.
Mrs. Wright, 84, of Waynesboro, died Tuesday, Aug. 6, 2002, at Wayne County General Hospital.
Survivors include her son, Jimmy Hudson and his wife, Gina, and two grandchildren, Tiffany Hudson and Hamilton Hudson, all of Waynesboro.
Visitation will be Friday beginning at 9 a.m. at the funeral home.

PHILADELPHIA Services for Harry Mitchell Eakes will be held Friday at 11 a.m. at McClain-Hays Funeral Service Chapel with the Rev. Dennis Duvall officiating. Burial will be in Cedarlawn Cemetery in Philadelphia.
Mr. Eakes, 52, of Philadelphia, died Wednesday, Aug. 7, 2002, at Rush Foundation Hospital. He was a native and lifelong resident of Neshoba County. He worked for U.S. Motors for 34 years and was a member of the Church of Christ.
Survivors include his wife, Cynthia Eakes of Philadelphia; a daughter, Kimberly Anne Eakes of Philadelphia; a son, Mitchell Bryan Eakes of Meridian; grandchildren, Richard Blake Files of Philadelphia and Elijah Bryan Eakes of Meridian; sisters, Sue Sullivan and Patricia Barnett, both of Philadelphia; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Harry Fulton Eakes; a sister, Brenda Gail Frazier; a brother, Jessie Ladd; and his step-father, Judge Barrett.
Visitation will be today 5 p.m.-9 p.m. at the funeral home.

QUITMAN Services for Janie Dunnam Dew will be held Friday at 2 p.m. at Wright's Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Michael Sosebe and Terry Irby officiating. Burial will be in East Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Clarke County.
Mrs. Dew, 85, of Quitman, died Tuesday, Aug. 6, 2002, at Guardian Angel Hospice.
Survivors include her sons, Terry Dew Jr. and his wife, Sonny, Collin Lavelle Dew and his wife, Buddy, all of Stonewall; two daughters, Octavia Phillips and Peggy Lee, all of Stonewall; eight grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to Rolling Creek Building Fund.
Visitation will be today 5 p.m.-8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Miss Nettles, 57, of Cuba, Ala., died Saturday, Aug. 3, 2002, at Guardian Angel Hospice.
Survivors include her sisters, Willie Mae Keeton of Cuba and Bobby A. Reed of Laurel; and a brother, George Nettles of Lauderdale.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Visitation will be Friday 7 p.m.-8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Services for Leroy Culpepper will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church in Yantley, Ala., with Elder Ford officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery with Berry and Gardner Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Culpepper, 86, of Meridian, died Sunday, Aug. 4, 2002, at Benchmark Health Center.
Survivors include his four brothers, James Culpepper, David Culpepper and Isiah Culpepper, all of Meridian, and Hubbard Culpepper of Long Beach, Calif.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Visitation will be Friday 5:30 p.m.-6:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
