THELMA GERTRUDE GODWIN

Graveside services for Thelma Gertrude Godwin will be held today at 10 a.m. at Long Creek Baptist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Rodney Anderson officiating. James F. Webb Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Godwin, 84, of Meridian, died Tuesday, July 23, 2002, in her home.
Survivors include her brother, Charles V. Morgan of the Tuxedo Community; two grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Lee Godwin and a son, Walter Lee Godwin Jr.
Memorials may be made to Harper's Hospice Care, 2404 15th Street, Meridian, MS 39301.
GRACE MILLING
Retired school teacher
UNION Services for Grace Milling will be held today at 2 p.m. at Union United Methodist Church with the Revs. Byrd Hillman, Bernard Walton and Barry Skelton officiating. Burial will be in Union City Cemetery with Milling Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Milling, 96, of Union, died Thursday, July 25, 2002, in her home.
Survivors include her daughter, Rebecca Stanley of Union; a brother, Bernard Walton of Hattiesburg; numerous nieces and nephews; and a special caregiver, Helen French of Union.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert A. Milling.
Visitation will be 30 minutes prior to the service at the church.
BOBBYE RUTHERFORD MORRISON
Retired LPN
Services for Bobbye Rutherford Morrison will be held today at 3 p.m. at Stephen's Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Sam Hull officiating. Burial will be in Bethel United Methodist Church Cemetery on Old Eighth Street Road.
Mrs. Morrison, 77, of Montrose, Colo., died Tuesday, July 23, 2002, in Montrose.
She was a nurse at Rush Foundation for more than 25 years and formerly employed at Burnley Shirt Factory. She was a member of East End United Methodist Church.
Survivors include her daughter, Gloria Howell of Montrose,Colo.; two granddaughters, Crystal Boles, Janis Boles Dean, of San Diego; a brother, the Rev. Hubert Rutherford of Collinsville; and two sisters, Mattie Lou Rutherford and Minnie Faye Murphy of Meridian.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Gene Morrison, her parents, Walter and Esther Rutherford and a sister, Evelyn Smith.
Pallbearers will be Bert Rutherford, Joe Walters, John Will Walters, Cecil Watts Jr., Charles Godwin and Ed Stephens.
Visitation will be 1 p.m.-3 p.m. today at the funeral home.
BOBBY GENE GARDNER
Truck driver
UNION Services for Bobby Gene Gardner will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. at Reids Chapel Church of God with the Revs. H.L. Rhodes, Hulan Evans and Clevis Joiner officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery with Milling Funeral Home of Union in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Gardner, 65, of Conehatta, died Thursday, July 25, 2002, at Laird/Alliance Hospital in Union.
He was a truck driver.
Survivors include his wife, Marie Gardner of Conehatta; three daughters, Dedon Booth of Warren, Ohio, Kimberly Golightly of Irvin, Texas, and Tammy Jo Prince of Wichita Falls, Texas; a son, Hampton Gardner of Decatur; his mother, Flossie Lee Gardner of Conehatta; two sisters, Georgia Lee Davis of Birmingham, Ala., and Juanita Davis of Semmes, Ala.; 14 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be today from 5 p.m.-9 p.m. at the funeral home.
KENNEDY HENDERSON
Retired
Services for Kennedy Henderson will be held Monday at 1 p.m. at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church with the Rev. Tony Campbell officiating. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery with Berry and Gardner Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Henderson, 39, of Meridian, died Tuesday, July 23, 2002, at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center.
He was retired.
Survivors include his father, A.C. "Gene" Henderson of Meridian; five brothers, Johnny Allen of Meridian, Leo Allen of Montgomery, Ala., Albert Henderson of Birmingham, Ala., Arthur Henderson of Flint, Mich., Roy Henderson of Fayetteville, N.C.; a sister, Tammy Henderson of Indianapolis; and a devoted aunt, Ester Walker of Meridian.
He was preceded in death by his mother.
Visitation will be Sunday from 6 p.m.-7 p.m. at the funeral home.
JAMES POOLE
Retired
NEWTON Services for James "Shorty" Poole will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. at Barham Funeral Home Chapel in Newton. Burial will be in Lawrence Cemetery in Lawrence.
Mr. Poole, 72, of Decatur, died Friday, July 26, 2002, at Newton Regional Medical Center.
He was retired.
Visitation will be from today 5 p.m.-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
