Simonis, Carter

Elizabeth Ann Carter and Todd Victor Simonis were united in Christian marriage on Saturday, July 28, 2001, at First Baptist Church in Quitman. The ceremony was officiated by the Rev. Gary Phillips.
Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Leon Carter Jr. of Quitman and Mr. and Mrs. John Simonis of DePere, Wis.
Grandparents of the bride are Grace Taylor and the late Clarence Taylor; Hilda Carter and the late Leon Carter Sr.
Grandparents of the bridegroom are Dory Russell and the late John Russell, and the late Mr. and Mrs. James Simonis.
Music for the ceremony was provided by Rose Longwitz, organist; Joette Smith, pianist; and Mandy Faulkner and Carrie Latner, vocalists. New and old testament readers were Joe Currier and Tony Walter.
Presented in marriage by her parents and escorted by her father, the bride wore a strapless gown of white bridal satin. A jeweled band encircled the neckline. The A-line skirt flowed into a chapel-length train. Her veil of tiers of illusion fell from a tiara of crystals and rhinestones. She carried a classic bouquet of cream and coral bridal roses tied with a coral French satin ribbon. Tucked inside her bouquet was the handkerchief carried by her mother at her wedding.
Attending the bride as maid of honor was Susan Autry Currier of Oak Park, Ill. Bridesmaids were Rachael Morgan Carter of Taylor, Texas, Melissa Downey Boutwell of Clinton, Robyn Leigh Lucas of Atlanta, Misty McCoy Thompson of Greenwood and Angela Redmond Traxler of Springdale, Ark. Heather Marie Rozar of Quitman served as junior bridesmaid.
The father of the bridegroom served as best man. Groomsmen were Brandon Carter of Greensboro, N.C., Chad Carter of Taylor, Bill Nelson of Milwaukee, Patrick Simonis of DePere and Aran Walter of Neenah, Wis. Caleb Phillips of Quitman served as junior groomsman.
Wedding guests were greeted by Mr. and Mrs. James Morgan and Mr. and Mrs. Robert Pepper.
Following the ceremony, the bride's parents hosted a reception in the church fellowship hall. Guests were greeted by Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Bosarge.
The couple resides in Wauwatosa, Wis.
