Jimmy and Pat Dye of Starkville announce the engagement of their daughter, Jenny Lynelle, to Derek Curtis Pouncey, son of Curt and Cythia Pouncey of Collinsville.
The wedding will be Saturday, July 20, 2002, at 2 p.m. at First Baptist Church of Collinsville.
Miss Dye is the granddaughter of Florine Passons of Yazoo City and the late Herman Hearn, and Virginia Dye of Ocean Springs and the late James Dye.
The bride-elect is a graduate of Ocean Springs High School and received a bachelor's degree in physical education from Mississippi State University.
Miss Dye is employed by the Meridian Public School System.
Mr. Pouncey is the grandson of Dr. Douglas and Jewel Everett of Enterprise, and the late Pete and Helen Pouncey.
The bridegroom-elect is a graduate of West Lauderdale High School and received a bachelor's degree in psychology from Mississippi College.
While at MC, he was a member of Circle K Social Organization.
Mr. Pouncey is employed by the Meridian Public School System.
A reception will be held in the family life center at the church following the ceremony.
