Three Lauderdale County volunteer fire departments responded to a trailer fire on Pauldin Road at 5:15 p.m. Monday.
No one was hurt in the blaze. The family that lives in the trailer was visiting neighbors when the fire broke out. Names of the family members were unavailable at press time.
Clarence Butler, coordinator of the county fire departments, said the fire started on the kitchen stove.
Butler said the volunteer fire departments of Lost Gap, Meehan and South, did an excellent job responding to the call. He said the fire damage was intensive but contained to the kitchen and there was smoke damage throughout the rest of the home.
