Baseball fans owe a lot to Bill Adair

Bill Adair died last week. He was 89.
But the first home run Henry Aaron ever hit in organized baseball came on a team in a small town in Wisconsin managed by a man who encouraged and understood him, broadcast by a young announcer who even now that he is much, much older is still grateful for having had the privilege of knowing them both.
