Two arrested in Sumter burglaries

LIVINGSTON, Ala. Sumter County sheriff's deputies arrested two men Wednesday in a string of burglaries and arsons in Sumter, Hale and Marengo counties in West Alabama.
Milford S. Gaines, 19, of Livingston, and Michael Quinn Williams, 28, of Coatopa were charged with two counts of arson and three counts of burglary.
The two are charged with the May robberies and arsons of the U.S. Post Office in Emelle, a hunting camp on Pine Top Road in Belmont, Ed's Car Lot in Demopolis and several vehicles in the Marengo County area.
Sumter County investigators have a third suspect in custody, and charges are likely against him.
