Woods, Blanks

Daphne Woods of Hattiesburg announces the engagement of her daughter, Quiona DeShea Woods of Atlanta, to Derek Blanks of Alpharetta, Ga., son of Mr. and Mrs. Nathaniel Blanks of Jackson.
The wedding will be held Saturday, July 6, 2002, at 4 p.m. at True Light Baptist Church in Hattiesburg.
Miss Woods is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. R.C. Woods Sr. of Hattiesburg.
The bride-elect is a graduate of Hattiesburg High School and the University of Southern Mississippi.
While attending USM, she was a member of the Pre-Law Society, Symphony Chorus and a Golden Girl.
Miss Woods is employed as a paralegal by Weissman, Nowick, Curry and Wilco, P.C. in Atlanta.
Mr. Blanks is the grandson of Bessie Blanks of Daleville and the late Douglas Blanks, and Mr. and Mrs. Charles Hill of Bolton.
The bridegroom-elect is a graduate of Murray High School in Jackson and received a degree from Maryland Institute College of Art in Baltimore.
While attending MICA, he was a member of the Student Union.
Mr. Blanks is employed by Scientific Games Inc. in Alpharetta, Ga., as a graphic designer.
A reception will be held at the Hattiesburg Lake Terrace Convention Center.
