A nice crowd of over 150 tennis players from all over the state participated in over 200 matches in this year's State Games action held at Northeast Tennis Complex.
Matches started at noon Friday for youth players followed by the adults. Tennis event referee Dave Trebisky, who is working his third state games, said he was pleased by the large turn out by both the youth and adult players.
The youth will start today's events at 8:00 a.m. followed directly by the adults. Players will continue to compete through out the weekend with the finals being held on Sunday.
More match details will appear in Sunday's sports section of The Meridian Star.
